God continues to bless SB. Due to our tremendous growth at both locations, Summerville Baptist is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual for the full-time position of Co-Minister to Children. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for overseeing, developing, and coordinating all aspects of our children's ministries from birth through fifth grade.
The Co-Minister to Children will work to foster a dynamic, safe, and nurturing environment where children can grow in their faith and develop a strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This role requires a visionary leader who can work with the current Minister to Children, inspire and equip volunteers, engage families, and implement creative and relevant programs (including Children’s Church, VBS, and special events).
Preferred Qualifications:
- A clear calling to children's ministry with a vibrant personal faith
- Proven experience in children's ministry leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education, Child Development, or a related field
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to recruit, train, and motivate volunteers
- A commitment to child safety protocols and the ability to pass a comprehensive background check
